Erling Haaland leaves door open to Real Madrid move – how Florentino can sign him explained
Erling Haaland has opened the door to a potential Real Madrid move in the future.
When asked about Real Madrid in his recent interview his reply was, “You never know what can happen in the future.”
Haaland could’ve said he’s happy at Man City which seems like the case now. But he chose to whet appetites by hinting at the possibility of playing alongside Kylian Mbappe at Real Madrid.
However, what might be difficult is fitting Haaland’s salary and that of Mbappe in Real Madrid’s wage bill without sending Financial Fair Play bells ringing.
That may not be a big problem though. According to the source, Real Madrid are expecting a massive financial windfall of around €150m when the new Santiago Bernabeu opens next season.
With such revenue coming in yearly, Real Madrid could comfortably afford the wages of Haaland without going over their ‘new’ salary limit.
Reports say Haaland is insisting on including a release clause in any new contract with Man City. That would further make it easier for Florentino Perez to go and get him.
