Cristiano Ronaldo scores 2 free-kick goals in single game for Al Nassr – is he ahead of Leo Messi now?
Cristiano Ronaldo has scored from two direct free-kicks in a single game for Al Nassr – his 62nd and 63rd free-kick goals respectively.
The Portuguese is still behind Leo Messi in this stat, though, as the Argentine has bagged 65. Besides, Leo scores a free-kick every 16.2 games while Cristiano needs 19.3 games on average to do this.
You may wonder whether Messi ever scored two free-kicks in a single game in his career… he has done it three times – against Sevilla (2015/16), Espanyol (2018/19) and Celta Vigo (2019/20).
The Argentine remains the king of free-kick strikes.
