Chelsea working on Pochettino successor, Mourinho & 2 more managers ruled out (reliability: 5 stars)
Chelsea are not planning to sack Mauricio Pochettino this season, writes journalist Ben Jacobs. The decision on his future will be made after the end of the season.
Despite this, the Blues are working on identifying a successor to the Argentine. This is because the club wants to have a ‘succession plan’ — the work on finding a new manager likely started the day Poch was given the job.
Roberto De Zerbi, Thomas Tuchel and Jose Mourinho are not being considered for the job, Jacobs adds.
