Fans fear the worst for Jake Paul after Mike Tyson’s frightening social media update

Boxing fans fear that Jake Paul could get demolished in his highly anticipated clash with Mike Tyson.

Tyson, who’ll turn 58 in June, will step back into the ring on Saturday, July 20 to face the YouTube star turned amateur boxer. Paul has won nine of his 10 amateur fights, only losing to Tommy Fury when the pair finally met last February.

Most punters expect the 27-year-old to suffer another defeat when he faces Tyson, especially after the former undisputed world heavyweight champion posted a clip of himself training on social media. It shows the boxing icon working out in the gym, looking powerful and sharp on the pads.

The caption read: “You still wanna f*** with me?” while in the video, Tyson addressed the camera and said: “Day three, still wanna f*** with me?”

“This is impressive for a 20 year old let alone a 57-year-old,” one fan wrote in the replies on X. “He’s gonna win, right?” a second remarked. “Struck fear into my soul. Tyson ain’t playing,” another follower admitted. “Yeah, Paul better cancel this fight because this is 20-year-old Mike Tyson right here!” a fourth quipped.

Paul’s chances are slim according the majority of fans and pundits, with UFC commentator Joe Rogan saying on his podcast: “I don’t give a f*** if he’s 55 – that’s still Mike Tyson. He trains with Rafael Cordeiro, who’s a legend in MMA – he runs Kings Mixed Martial Arts. Rafael is a world-renowned trainer.

“When you see him holding the mits for Tyson and Tyson is smashing the mits. Jesus! That guy can still f*** you up. In this world with hormone replacement and vitamins. He does all this electrical muscle stimulation recovery stuff.

“When they were training Mike for that Roy Jones fight they were using state-of-the-art science. I don’t give a f*** if he’s 55 years old, that guy will hurt you. If Jake Paul’s on the other side of the ring and he sees Mike Tyson bobbing and weaving he’s going to have a recognition. He’s going to look over and go, ‘Oh my God, that’s really Mike Tyson’.”

Meanwhile, British ex-boxer Amir Khan recently told Gambling Zone: “I just feel that he can really hurt Jake Paul. I just can’t believe what Jake Paul’s thinking. He’s fighting a heavyweight great and I think he can get hurt badly.

“Is it just hype with Mike and Jake posting it at the same? This is unreal and I hope that Mike doesn’t end up hurting him because at the end of the day, I like Jake, but Mike is not a person you want to mess with or do an exhibition with, especially when you’re a lot smaller and lighter.

“I don’t know how this is going to go. Is it really going to happen? It amazes me and I’m shocked. I’ve got Mike Tyson winning by knockout. Even though he’s in his fifties, he’s still a dangerous guy not to be messed with.”
