Lunin’s beautiful gesture that allowed Militao to return in action v Bilbao caught on camera
In a touching moment caught on camera, Andriy Lunin showed a true act of sportsmanship.
The Ukrainian goalkeeper threw the ball out of bounds, allowing Eder Militao, who was patiently waiting for his moment, to enter the pitch 232 days following his ACL injury without disrupting the flow of the Athletic Bilbao game.
And with only one minute left on the clock, the timing couldn’t have been more perfect!
It’s Carlo Ancelotti, who have instructed Lunin, it seems.
Militao’s return is a huge boost for Real Madrid as they head into the final stretch of the season with an extra pair of legs.
Welcome back, Eder!
