Arsenal star Bukayo Saka can join Premier League legends Harry Kane and Dennis Bergkamp in unique list
Saka goes into the game in stunning form having scored in his last five Premier League matches, a run that includes a brace in his last two away fixtures.
They include the 5-0 win over Burnley and the 6-0 hammering of West Ham, in which Saka was influential.
As a result, the 22-year-old could match a unique Premier League record if he scores twice against the Blades at Bramall Lane.
Only Kane and Bergkamp have managed to score two goals in more than two consecutive away fixtures, with both men getting a double in three consecutive away-day outings.
Such a feat would put Saka in the company of two Premier League legends, opening up the argument about his world-class credentials.
Rio Ferdinand has been a notable critic of the winger, with the Manchester United legend stating the Arsenal star could not yet be deemed a world-class player, with Saka himself saying he had ‘no comment’ to make on the claims.
However, beloved Gunners great Ian Wright believes Saka can be aggrieved about Ferdinand’s comments.
Speaking on his Wrighty’s House podcast, the former striker said: “If I’m him [Saka], I’m probably a little bit p***ed off about that.
“And I’d probably be a bit p***ed off with Rio about it for bringing it up like it is, because it’s the narrative of everything, especially when you listen to TNT.
“And so, it’s something now, I’d be very interested to see his relationship going on with Rio.
“For me, let’s face it, he’s one of the most decorated players, and for him to come with that kind of conversation does not help. It doesn’t help at all.
“In that particular situation, I was very disappointed with that because it’s not needed.”
