‘Nothing physical nor athletic for nine months’: Gianluigi Buffon opens up on his health
Gianluigi Buffon recently shared insights about his life after retiring from professional football. The 46-year-old goalkeeper retired at the end of last season, concluding his remarkable 29-year career.
Buffon spent his final two years with Parma, a club close to his heart. In an interview with Stasera c’è Cattelan via TMW, Buffon talked about how he’s doing mentally and physically since stepping away from the game.
“I’ve practically done nothing physical nor athletic for nine months because I was probably fed up of sport. I need to rediscover a bit of hunger and desire to push myself physically.”
“I think that in the next few months, I’ll try to settle down again, but not for now. It’s strange because for 30 years or more I’ve been training the same life and now I’ve reached a point of boredom and I want to have some motivation.”
