Andre Ward joins those concerned about Ryan Garcia’s well-being: ‘He’s got to get off social media’
The American boxer Ryan Garcia has been the center of controversy in recent weeks, all due to the strange publications that have appeared on his social media. Amid the hurricane, former champion Andre Ward had some words of encouragement for the young boxer.
Garcia’s problems began on March 3, when a video appeared on his Instagram and X accounts claiming that someone had “cut the boxer’s throat.” The video consists of a shaky shot with no sound, with a sign superimposed with gibberish.
Although García initially implied that he had lost control of his social media for a time, more strange posts continued to appear in the following days. At least in one of them, he said that he would reveal the activities of a secret society, among other things just as strange.
Former boxing champ Andre Ward says he’s got a simple solution for Ryan Garcia’s apparent woes!

Andre Ward’s advice
In an interview with TMZ Sports, the first thing Ward advised Garcia is to stay away from social media. “I think the first thing is, he’s got to get off social media,” said the former super middleweight champion.
He also considered that someone in Garcia’s environment should take charge of the situation, to help the young boxer get out of the slump. “I think somebody around him gotta tell him, ‘We gotta deal with this, but we’re not going to deal with it on the public side,’” Ward said.
Ward, who was also a light heavyweight champion, explained, “It’s enough to be dealing with it and struggling with it as it is, but then you gon’ let the whole world in on your struggle. It’s not always a wise thing to do. “

The fight against Haney
This April 20, Garcia must return to the ring to face Devin Haney for the World Boxing Council (WBC) super lightweight title. The fight will take place in Las Vegas, Nevada, but many Garcia fans believe he should withdraw or postpone the fight.
Ward disagreed with them: “That ain’t time for self-care, that’s no time for counseling, that’s time to get ready for war.” However, he also said, “I’m praying for him, and I wish him nothing but the best.”
Garcia himself assured that the worst is over and that he is one hundred percent focused on preparing for the fight against Haney. The only way to know if this is true will be to see the result of the match.
