Man City want to avoid Declan Rice situation as they battle Arsenal for Bruno Guimaraes
According to the Telegraph, Arsenal and Manchester City are both eyeing a summer transfer for Newcastle United midfielder Bruno Guimaraes.
This could potentially set up a repeat of last summer’s head-to-head battle for Declan Rice with Man City looking to emerge victorious this time around.
The 26-year-old, who has impressed at Newcastle since January 2022, is aware of the interest with Paris Saint-Germain also reportedly in the mix.
Although the Brazilian’s release clause is at around £100 million, Arsenal, who need midfield reinforcements, could seek to negotiate a lower price.
